Fertility decisions and pension reforms. Evidence from natural experiments in Italy
Francesco Billari is Professor of Sociology and Demography at the Nuffield College, University of Oxford. He previously was at Bocconi University, Milan, and at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, Rostock, Germany. His main research fields area Demography, life course, family and fertility, comparative social research, social statistics and agent-based modelling. He holds a Ph.D. in Demography from the University of Padova. He is currently President of the European Association for Population Studies, Fellow of the European Academy of Sociology and one of the founding members of Population Europe. In 2012, he has been awarded the Clifford C. Clogg Award for Early Career Achievement from the Population Association of America. He is Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Life Course Research.
